Mr. Sean O'Fearghail TD said any occasion which gives something back to the community, as the OCTOBERSEIS will, is to be applauded and pledged his support in any way possible, Matron Helen Dreelan said she was thankful to all whom attended particularly our public representatives and especially those O'Neills whom had travelled from afar for the launch. Mr. Frank Taafe reminded the audience of the contribution the O'Neills had made to music in Athy and that he used always enjoy historical chats with Joe O'Neill about Athy. Mayor Richard Daly in his speech said that it was a remarkable and unique way for the O'Neill family to remember their father and also for to put the wonderful work which is done in St. Vincents Hospital on centre stage. He then officially launched THE O'NEILLS OCTOBER SEIS and looked forward to a wonderful bank holiday weekend in October to enjoy the music and the craic for such a worthy cause.
