Beginning in 2005, OctoberSeis started as a way for the O’Neill family of Athy, Co. Kildare to pay tribute to their father Joe O’Neill, a gifted musician and dedicated band leader of the Stardust Orchestra which brought his particular brand of music to almost every dance venue in Ireland from the early 1940’s to the 1960’s.
Joe founded the CBS Brass and Reed Orchestra in Athy which is still going strong today.

OctoberSeis first started in Naas when this gifted family got together with friends and initiated what has proven to be a very enjoyable musical extravaganza of many genres of music. The festival moves annually to areas where members of the O'Neill family live or have strong connections.

Rock Rose Garden Event

On the 17th of September we played in the gardens of Rock Rose House to all the patrons and friends of the organisation. The day was a huge success with BBQ and desert supplied for all there.

We were joined by local musicians who helped make the day more enjoyable, the Costello family from Castlebar and Frank Gannon from Breaffy.

A great day was had by all with everyone looking forward to the OctoberSeis and the weekend of fun and music.
